OnTheFandom Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 12, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Taeja Co., Ltd. ("Taeja," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in the Republic of Korea, governing your use of the OnTheFandom mobile application and related services (the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service; AI Disclosure
OnTheFandom lets you have real-time voice conversations with virtual characters powered by artificial intelligence.
The characters are AI, not humans. Everything a character says is generated by artificial intelligence. Characters are fictional virtual personas; they are not real people, and nothing they say should be treated as statements of fact made by a person. AI-generated outputs are probabilistic by nature and may be inaccurate, incomplete, fictional, or — despite our safety measures — offensive. You should not rely on the accuracy of any character's statements, and if you do so, you do it at your own risk.
Early access. The Service is in an early stage of operation. Features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time, and the Service may be interrupted for maintenance or technical reasons. Conversation memory and other data may be reset or modified during this period as the Service evolves.
2. No Professional Advice; Safety
The Service is provided for entertainment and fan-engagement purposes only. Characters do not provide — and their outputs do not constitute — medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Do not use the Service as a substitute for professional assistance.
If you are experiencing a crisis or thinking about harming yourself or others, do not use the Service for help. Contact your local emergency services immediately (112/119 in Korea; 911 in the US), or a crisis line such as the Korea suicide prevention line 109 or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- be at least 14 years old (or at least 16 if you reside in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction);
- if you are under the age of majority where you live, have your parent or legal guardian's permission, and that parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf;
- not have been previously suspended or removed from the Service; and
- have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Accounts
You sign in to the Service with your Apple or Google account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your sign-in credentials secure, and not to share your account with others or use another person's account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at admin@aitaeja.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
You may delete your account at any time in the app (MY → 탈퇴하기 / Delete Account). Deletion of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, Taeja grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules, and to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.
6. Your Content (Inputs) and AI Outputs
6.1 Your Inputs
"Inputs" means the content you provide to the Service, including your voice audio, transcripts of your speech, and any other content you submit. As between you and Taeja, you own your Inputs.
You grant Taeja a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, sublicensable (through multiple tiers), perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, store, copy, reproduce, modify, transcribe, analyze, and create derivative works of your Inputs for the purposes of operating, providing, maintaining, securing, and developing the Service, including improving and training the AI models and systems that power the Service. This license is at all times subject to the limits described in our Privacy Policy: the use of your conversations for AI training is enabled by default and can be turned off in the app at any time, and your conversation data is deleted when you delete your account. Turning off AI training or deleting your account stops future training use of your data; it does not require us to remove or retrain AI models trained before that point.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your Inputs do not violate the law or the rights of any third party.
6.2 AI Outputs
"Outputs" means the responses generated by characters in your conversations. As between you and Taeja, and subject to Section 6.3, you may use your conversation Outputs for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You acknowledge that, due to the nature of AI, Outputs may be similar or identical to outputs generated for other users, and such Outputs are not your exclusive content.
6.3 Taeja's Characters and IP
The characters — including their names, personas, stories, visual designs, and voices — and the Service itself remain the exclusive property of Taeja and its licensors. You may not:
- use Outputs, character personas, or character voices for commercial purposes without our prior written consent;
- use Inputs, Outputs, or any part of the Service to develop, train, or improve any other AI or machine-learning model; or
- represent that Outputs are human-generated when they are not.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law;
- attempt to generate, solicit, or distribute content that is sexually exploitative of minors, promotes self-harm, or constitutes harassment, hate speech, or threats;
- impersonate any real person, or create or use recordings or simulations of a real person's voice or likeness without that person's consent (including deepfakes);
- attempt to bypass, "jailbreak," prompt-inject, or otherwise evade any safety or technological measure designed to protect the Service or its users;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, or attempt to extract its models, prompts, or source code;
- access the Service by automated means (scraping, bots, bulk data collection) or interfere with its operation;
- infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party;
- use the Service to send spam or for unauthorized commercial purposes; or
- misrepresent the Service or Outputs in a way that could deceive others (including presenting AI content as a real person's statements).
We may investigate violations and take any action we deem appropriate, including removing content, limiting features, and suspending or terminating accounts.
8. Content Moderation and Reporting
We use automated and manual safety measures designed to filter objectionable content. However, given the nature of AI, we cannot guarantee that all Outputs will be appropriate.
If you encounter content that you find objectionable or that violates these Terms, you can report it to us at admin@aitaeja.com (or through any in-app reporting feature). We review reports and take timely, appropriate action, which may include removing content and suspending or terminating the accounts of users who violate these Terms. We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, filter, and remove content.
9. Intellectual Property; Copyright Complaints
The Service, including its software, design, characters, voices, trademarks, and content (other than your Inputs), is owned by Taeja and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to admin@aitaeja.com including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We will respond to valid notices and may terminate repeat infringers.
10. Fees, Subscriptions, and Virtual Items
The Service is currently provided free of charge.
If we introduce paid features, subscriptions, or virtual items in the future, the following will apply unless we state otherwise at the point of purchase: prices and billing terms will be clearly disclosed before you buy; purchases made through the App Store are billed, processed, and refunded by Apple under Apple's terms; auto-renewing subscriptions continue until canceled and must be canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period through your App Store account settings to avoid renewal; and virtual items are a limited, non-transferable license with no cash value, are not redeemable for money, and are forfeited upon account termination, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Except as required by law or Apple's policies, fees are non-refundable.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party services, including Apple and Google sign-in and third-party AI processing providers (identified in our Privacy Policy). Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies, and Taeja is not responsible for third-party services.
12. Modification, Suspension, and Termination
- By you. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
- By us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or any part of it, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where practicable and permitted by law, we will provide reasonable notice.
- Effect. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end, and Sections 6, 9, and 13–19 survive.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR RELIABILITY. TAEJA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR APPROPRIATE.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) TAEJA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE; AND (B) TAEJA'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO TAEJA IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100).
NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR YOUR MANDATORY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER.
15. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Taeja and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your Inputs, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court in Seoul, Republic of Korea, as the court of first instance.
Consumer protection savings clause. If you reside in a jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer protection laws grant you rights, remedies, or a choice of forum that cannot be waived by contract, nothing in these Terms limits or excludes those rights.
Before filing any formal claim, please contact us at admin@aitaeja.com — most concerns can be resolved quickly and informally.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.
18. Notice Regarding Apple
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, the following applies:
- These Terms are between you and Taeja only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"), and Taeja, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Your license to the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules (except that the app may be accessed by other accounts via Family Sharing).
- Taeja, not Apple, is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.
- In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims arising from a warranty failure are Taeja's responsibility.
- Taeja, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or similar claims.
- In the event of a third-party claim that the app or your use of it infringes intellectual property rights, Taeja, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
- You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

19. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Taeja regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Language. These Terms may be made available in multiple languages. Where a Korean version is provided, it prevails for users in the Republic of Korea; otherwise, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law.
